Count down to Christmas with a piece you’ll bring out year after year. This three-tier wooden advent calendar is cut in the shape of the Bethlehem skyline, with each of the 24 days numbered right into the silhouette, and a small stable scene tucked into the corner of day 24, complete with the Star of Bethlehem overhead.
What makes it special is the journey built into the design. Separate wooden Mary and Joseph figures move along the skyline day by day, inching closer to the stable as Christmas approaches. On Christmas morning, baby Jesus takes his place in the manger to complete the scene, turning the final reveal into its own small tradition.
The back of the calendar has built-in storage, so the figures have a home between seasons instead of getting lost in a box of ornaments. It’s solid wood, built to be pulled out and set up again every December, the kind of piece a family keeps for years and eventually hands down.
